p. 04MethodFive proofs

We work like a print shop.

Master typesetters set each letter by hand, pulled a proof, and only ran the press once everything was in place. We prepare a website in the same order. At the end of every step you hold something concrete.

  1. IDay 1

    Listening

A half-hour call or a few messages. We talk about what you sell, who you sell to and what sets you apart. We gather whatever you have: logo, photos, text.

Outcome A short brief and a clear quote

  2. IIDays 2–4

    Sketch

We start on paper: pages, sections, the path a visitor will follow. We suggest a few directions for colour, type and tone, and choose one together.

Outcome A page plan and a visual direction

  3. IIIWeeks 1–2

    Proof

The design comes alive on screen. You get a preview link to check on your phone and computer and leave notes. One to three rounds of corrections, depending on your package.

    Outcome An approved design

  4. IVWeeks 2–4

    Setting

Code, content, forms, payments, tests. Every page is tried on different phones and browsers; a page that fails speed and accessibility checks doesn't go live.

Outcome A site ready to launch

  5. VLaunch day

    Print

We connect the domain and take the site live, with a short walkthrough of the panel. For your support period we're one message away.

Outcome A live site and a good night's sleep

The first step is a message. We take it from there.
